2009 - Finalizing studies toward a PhD degree in Economics. Thesis: Case-based reasoning and the formation of economic expectations.
1978-79 - M.A. (Cum Laude) in Economics, at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, majoring in Monetary Economics and International Trade.
1975-77 - B.A. (Cum Laude) in Economics and Statistics, at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
From 2002 – The Hebrew University of Jerusalem – Consultant, senior proposal writer, coordinator and contributor of several conceptual ideas for R&D proposals, and Financial and Administrative Manager of multi-party educational projects sponsored by the European Commission's R&D Program and other sources. Projects managed have dealt, in the main, with R&D of Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning tools and related educational methodologies. Projects carried out in Europe, Israel and South America.
1999-2006 – Economic consultant, on a private and independent basis. Main specialization: Business plans preparation and analysis; financial and economic analysis; development of computerized financial models; assistance in financial negotiations and strategic planning. Senior Consultant at G-STAT (2005-06), conducting projects in the field of risk assessment and management for financial institutions. Senior Consultant for Arttic Israel – Halevi Dweck & Co.: Consortium building and preparation of R&D proposals (and coordination and management of resulting international projects) for the R&D-sponsoring Program of the European Commission and other institutions. Economic analysis of environmental issues. Development of various projects of my own.
1991-96 - Republic National Bank of New York (Uruguay) S.A., (then of the Safra group). Last position held: VP and Co-General Manager, responsible for the Bank's operations and commercial area.
1986-91 - Luz Industries Israel (then a leading player in the solar-powered electricity generation industry) - Business Planning Department: Short- and long-term economic planning, economic and financial analyses, business plans, development of computerized simulation models for use as pricing and marketing tools for the projects as well as for general financial planning purposes. Environmental-economic analysis of renewable energy sources.
1983-86 - Economic Planning Authority, Government of Israel. Head of the Macro-economic Division, which analyzed the macro effects of several economic policy measures and developed tools for economic forecasting and planning.
In a parallel fashion to some of the above occupations: Teaching at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the courses of Introduction to Economics and Research Methods in Economics, among others.
